The Board of Trustees consist of five (5) members with terms of three (3) years each and trustees hold their offices until their respective successors are duly qualified and elected.

John has been with the Board of Directors since 1993, living in Sherwood most of his life, John has held many positions around Sherwood including past mayor, village council member, and zoning board member. John is currently a director for The Sherwood State Bank, President for Wirth's Supermarket Inc. and  Wirth Holdings LTD. He is a current member of The Sherwood Lions Club and The Sherwood Area Economic Development Corporation. John is married and has 2 children.

 

Vice  President

Virgil Hoene

 

Virg has been on the Sherwood Telephone  Board of Directors since 1991 and has held the positions of President and Vice President during his tenure. His term ends in 2001.  He owns and manages Archbold Equipment Co. Case IH, a company that provides sales and service of Cub Cadet products.  In addition to the telephone board, he also serves on the Lions', Defiance Co. Farm Bureau, Northwest Ethanol, LLC and Ohio Farmers Union boards. He is married and has two grown children and four grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, bowling, and golfing.

Rex has been on the Board since 1988 and has held his present position of secretary/treasurer since that time. He is President and Sales Manager of Moats Ford & Mercury, Inc. in Sherwood. Moats' specializes in new and used car and truck sales. He is a member of the Sherwood Lions Club. His present term ends in 1999.

 

Trustee

Max Haver

Max is the newest member, elected to the board March 1999. His term will expire March 2002. He is retired from Navastar and as a Central Local School Bus driver. Besides being a member of the Sherwood Telephone Board of Directors, he is QuarterMaster for the Sherwood VFW, Post 5665. Max is married with 5 children and 13 grandchildren. He enjoys life and helping other people.

Lynn  Bergman

Lynn is a another with a long history with Sherwood and the Sherwood Telephone Board of Directors, he is currently a Director for Northwest Ethanol, LLC, Membership with Sherwood Area Economic Development Corporation, President of Ney Oil Co.
